TGA Electric Motor Control System


Partnership powers to success with TGA Electric !

Through a partnership with EMD Ltd, Astralux have assisted in the design, development and manufacture of a unique Motor Control System for TGA Electric Leisure. The system forms part of the TGA Powerpacks which enable wheelchair users to convert ordinary wheelchairs to powered versions in seconds.

		The specification was developed between all parties involved. Astralux then designed and built prototypes that were subject to rigorous testing prior to manufacturing of the final design. The system together with an EMD motor and gearbox forms the basis of the TGA Powerpack.



The 12V Motor Controller uses the latest microprocessor technology and has a host of built in safety features. The ergonomically designed Handlebar Control allows the user to pre-set the maximum speed, check battery condition and has a thumb operated speed control lever.
